Seasonal Warmth
During the winter, one of my favorite things is playing board games with my
kids. Sharing simple pleasures as a family brings a heightened sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.
In this issue, we want to bring you the information you need so you can celebrate the new year and enjoy a happy home as well. You’ll find lots of great articles throughout the magazine to help you get the most pleasure out of your living spaces. Ensure everyone you care about is snug when the temperature drops, by perusing “Warm Up to Winter," page 5. This article will give you insight into how to keep your furnace running smoothly now that blustery winds are whipping past your windowpanes.
There’s another good reason to tune up your furnace—it could provide you with extra savings. Incorporating tips from “Hot Topic,” page 24, could reduce your energy bills!
And that, of course, leaves you with more resources to heat up your decor. For inspiration on cool trimmings, flip through “My Home Style: Top Tools, Tips & Trends,” page 28. Guests will especially appreciate the thoughtful touches you add to your spare bedroom based on the ideas in “Beyond the Basics,” page 13.
After you’ve put away the holiday decorations and settled down for the evening, pause to reflect on the moments of the season. “Scents for Your Mood,” page 32, invites you to take care of yourself as we commence another year.
Welcome 2008!
