For those of you who are unaware, our publication is headquartered smack dab in the middle of the Lone Star State. We support and cherish homeowners and their crafts from across the map, but our brains are infected with the southern pride that all true Texans’ share.
You have probably heard tell of southern hospitality, cowboys, fried foods, and (in large part, thanks to Paula Deen) the addition of an extra tablespoon of butter on most of our cuisine. No round up could ever do justice to all things “Texas,” so instead we’re going to rep’ the South by broadcasting our love for leather. Here’s a few of our favorite uses:
Absolutely love carved leather. Sue Thomson does a great job!
Replaicing the standard chrome or plastic shower curtain rings with bits of leather cording yields a uniquely rustic look in this bathroom. From Care 2.
This leather camera bag was boring before she dressed it up with paint and nail polish! From 11 Eureka.
Love the stamped leather here. It’s an easy technique that can duplicated for place settings, name cards, etc. This beautiful image from Ecosalon.
What do you think of this awesome leather pinecone? We love it! From Freshly Picked.
Of course we love boots, bags and belts, too – if you have any crafts to add to our roundup, let us know! We love hearing from you.
