We are creatures that love privacy. We share an innate sense of entitlement to it and feel moral outrage at the infringement of our personal right to closed doors – this starts from a young age.
Remember your first tree house? Perhaps you hung a sign that said “No Brothers Allowed” or maybe you were keeping out your parents. It was a place for your best friend and your dog. A whimsical station for privacy and independence – as we grow, our tree houses may become more sophisticated though they represent that same personal security.
Take a gander at some of these tree houses, be they a wonderland for tiny tots or refined and functioning societal members, we can all appreciate these constructions.
