Our generation tends to stay very busy; whether you’re a stay-at-home or dad and you’re on kid duty full-time, hold a grinding 9-to-5, or are of the fascinating breed that juggles both, we understand there’s no time left for the kitchen. In our experience, the easiest dishes that last the longest and usually provide the most bang for your buck are casseroles.
There’s not much to the art of casseroling; mix it up or lay it out, pop it in the oven and a short time later, voila! They typically contain starch, protein and veggies (what other dish holds all those things?) and you generally have leftovers for several days. Casseroles are a go-to dish for busy people everywhere! In honor of the beautiful, baked conglomeration we have collected some of the most interesting casseroles we could find.
This Cheesy Chicken Casserole comes from Plain Chicken and uses chicken, egg noodles, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheeze, Club crackers, butter and poppy seed. Bake for 30 minutes.
This Tater-Tot Casserole is from Craving Comfort. She says, “I have never found a man who didn’t inhale this dish!” All you need is ground beef, onion, cream of celery or cream of chicken soup, frozen tatero tots, and cheese. Bake for 40 minutes.
