Educate Your Kids: Wet Hands
In a recent survey, one in three parents admitted that their children didn’t know you should never touch electrical items with wet hands.
Explain why electricity and water a poor combination. No child likes to hear that they shouldn’t do something. Understanding that water conducts electricity, and therefore any combination of the two could possibly hurt them makes the child far more likely to actively avoid an incident.
Let them know that if they feel thirsty while using the computer or playing video games that they shouldn’t bring their drinks close to the appliances in order to stay safe.
