Label Your Circuit Breakers
Not much is worse than being stuck in the dark. Navigating your way to the breaker is enough. But even then, you have to know which switches to hit – in the dark. The easiest way to avoid this little snag is to label your breakers.
Purchase circuit testers ($3.50) at a hardware store and have a friend or one of your kids flip switches while you test each outlet in order to label them. Next time, you’ll know exactly which switches to hit.
