Place Cords Carefully

Place Cords Carefully

When placing cords, keep them out of high-traffic areas in order to avoid tripping or other pedestrian accidents.  Cords should not be placed beneath rugs where they can become a trip hazard or where frays will not be noticeable.  Furthermore, covering a cord will prevent it from cooling properly, possibly leading to fires.    Do not staple or nail cords in position at any time.  Instead use tape or twist ties to secure it.  Finally, be sure to use extension cords only as a temporary solution.
