Protect Your Pets

As with children, ensure that cords are fully plugged in to their outlets.  A partially exposed prong is an invitation for disaster when dealing with the nose of a curious pet.  Also ensure, once again, that there are no frayed or exposed wires.

Pet-proof cords are available in some stores to avoid chewing.  Running your cords through PVC can also protect them from unruly or curious pets.  One of the more elegant methods to dealing with pets who love to chew is to coat the cords in a bitter substance, such as most pet repellant sprays to discourage chewing.
