Solar Energy is Becoming More Affordable
In recent years manufacturing costs of photovoltaic cells has dropped by 3-5% per year while government subsidies have increased. While to some such facts about solar energy seem trivial, this makes solar energy an ever-more affordable energy source. In addition, the federal and state governments have been offering incentives such as tax cuts and rebates for homeowners who invest in solar power. In some areas, as much as 90% of the cost of a home solar array can be offset by rebates and solar energy credits.
