With the holiday season approaching, a time for family, festivity and joy, add safety to the list of things you pay special attention to when preparing your home for this time of year.
The lights throughout your home can be beautiful, but special care should be taken when setting them up. All appliances and lights should be given a berth in which to disperse heat. The lights and the toys and the fireplace all produce energy in the form of heat, and space is needed for that heat to dissipate, else a fire may start.
