Windows with Low-Emissivity (Low-E) glass, a type of reflective glass that resists ultraviolet light, are the most energy efficient choice. Whether you know it or not, UV rays damage furniture and create glare. If you’re not willing to purchase new windows with Low-E glass, reflective film is an option rather than replacing windows. The reflective tint can be applied to the existing window glass by a professional. Reflective film works like the Low-E window glass, although it’s not quite as effective.
